Friday's Poem

I'm always thinking about the future, and all the things that will come to past from our present. What opportunity, hope, and life will the future hold for us? Will things turn out as what so many speculators say will happen? I don't know, because I can only "speculate" as they do. These are my thoughts about the future (but not all of it, because it nevertheless endlessly long). Check out my poem and let me hear your thoughts about it and the your view of the future.

What Future?

Here we are—waiting for something to happen
What is that something? Do you know?
Is it a future so bright and welcoming?
Or is it a future of nothing and despair?
So many of us wait in wonder for it to happen

DOOMSDAY—December 21, 2012.
Always these predictions, that people want
They know no end because they fear
The UNKNOWN and wish for it
To not happen, but at the same time
They want it to happen for they believe
It will, so no wonder it has begun

Have no FEAR, there is none to know
The devastation it will cause for us
Some will welcome it for a new start
Some will cringe in fear for death
And YOU will never understand its—
REASON.
